What we recommend is to implement a Data Backup and Recovery Solution that protects your data both onsite and off site (secured Cloud Storage), with not one backup per day, but multiple, which will allow you to restore your valuable data to a point in time just prior to the RansomWare infection, guarenteeing that your data is recovered, in tact, and without paying a ransom.

RMS IT Services is proud to partner with Datto and Infrascale and can provide you with a On-site and Cloud backup solution, performing multiple backups per day AND a complete virtualization of your server (in the event of Catastrophic failure) for LESS THAN $150/month, protecting your valuable data and NEVER leaving it to chance.

Please Give Us a Call at 402-909-1595 (leave message) or 402-317-0507 (my personal cell) so that WE can HELP You!!

You can also email me at Mark@rms-it-services.com.

Don't leave YOUR valuable data to chance!!

Have A Great Day!!

<![CDATA[Don't Be Caught With Your Pants Down in 2015 - Be ready for Your Disaster!!]]>Tue, 06 Jan 2015 19:00:24 GMThttp://rms-it-services.com/info-exch/dont-be-caught-with-your-pants-down-in-2015-be-ready-for-your-disasterAs we all begin 2015 in anticipation of great things, let us not forget that even the smallest "Disasters" (lost email, deleted file, corrupt Quickbooks Database File) could cause us great consternation and loss of productivity and loss of business, not to mention what down server (loss of all of our shared folders and information - Email, Client lists, Quickbooks, Property Management Software, etc) would cause, not only for the potential loss of data, but for the entire time the server is down - One Day, Two Days, or more.

In the event of a Server crash (I know "it will never happen"), how long can you afford to be without vital information such as business contacts, email, and Quickbooks (provided you actually have the data backed up, all of the software (including license keys) installed on the server, to include the actual server software and key? For some businesses, a day or two, but not much more.

What if I told you that RMS-IT-Services can offer you REAL TIME Data backup, CONTINUOUS access to your Server and Data even in the event of a COMPLETE Server Crash (through what is known as Server Virtualization), Remote Monitoring/System Updates, MONTHLY On-Site visits to resolve any issues that can't be addressed remotely, and QUARTERLY "System Health/Business Contiunuity/Disaster Recovery" Walk-throughs to both minimize the possibility of "Disaster" and it's overall affect, should it actually occur (which it is bound to do at some point), for a low monthly cost of $195?

That, my friend, is our plan. We believe so strongly in Business Continuity Planning and over-all Business Disaster preparedness that we are putting together a series of three "Managed Service" Offerings, the Tier 2 being the $195 Offering outlined above, to address your IT Service needs.

We are developing a Tier 1 offering that will provide the same monitoring, site visits, walkthroughs, etc but not provide the CONTINUOUS access to your server and data (as this requires the lease of a backup appliance) in the event of a crash, and Tier 3 Offering that will provide a larger backup appliance (that will provide more local and off site storage and the ability to virtualize a second server or important workstation) and provide for more frequent site visits than one per month.

Give me a call at 402-317-0507 if you have any questions or would like to know more!

Sincerely,

Mark McCoy

<![CDATA[RMS-IT-Services Hosting Business Continuity Seminars for Small Business]]>Tue, 12 Aug 2014 16:01:05 GMThttp://rms-it-services.com/info-exch/rms-it-services-hosting-business-continuity-seminars-for-small-businessPicture
In the coming weeks, RMS-IT-Services will begin holding FREE Busienss Continuity Planning (BCP) Seminars for the Small Business Owner. During the seminars we will discuss the basics of BCP as well as it's overall importance to the small business.

During our FREE seminar, we will discuss the fundamentals of sound BCP Planning, to include the basic steps and suggested documentation and we will provide a live BCP Demonstration during which we will "Fail" a running server and instantly bring up the same server in its up to date "Virtual Form" (technique referred to as Hybrid Virtualization), allowing us to interact with the server as if it were still physically running and while we are running our virtual server, we will completely reload our failed server from "scratch" in less than an hour. The key here is NO DOWN TIME!!!

Our picture above is of our Running Workstation assessing (pinging and accessing a file share) on our "failed" server, which we would do until the physical server could be rebuilt (in about an hour or so, depending on the actual amount of data to restore).

Stay Tuned!! Small Business BCP Seminares Coming Soon!!

Call us at 402-909-1595 or email us at Mark@rms-it-services.com for more information.

<![CDATA[Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Planning isn't just for the "Big Guys"]]>Mon, 28 Jul 2014 19:22:36 GMThttp://rms-it-services.com/info-exch/business-continuitydisaster-recoveryplanning-isnt-just-for-the-big-guysMany Small Business Owners make the costly mistake of thinking that their company is too small to be affected by a "disaster". Their reasoning? "We only have one server and it is backed up every night" or "All we have are workstations and the only critical one is the one that runs our quicknooks and THAT workstation is backed up everynight".

What we sometimes fail to realize is, if we do have a "disaster" (an employee deleted a criitical file or two by mistake, a virus or malware overtakes our critical workstation or server, or we have a Hard Drive failure), how long can we afford to be down before people (vendors, customers, employees. etc) start to get antzy about getting paid or getting services scheduled?

How long will it take to re-install the hard drive, reload all of the software, AND apply all of the patches needed to get going again? Do we have all of the Software License Keys (MS Office, Windows 7/8/Server, etc), readily available? What happens if the external USB Drive we used for backups gets lost or destroyed as well? Are we "Sunk"?

Many Small Business owners also feel that real time backups (on premise and cloud) and the ability to "spin up" a spare server or workstation (an exact duplicate of the one that has crashed) is "way too expensive" to include in any Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan.

I'm here to tell all Small Business Owners that it is "way too expensive" NOT to implement some type of real-time backup (on premise and cloud) AND have a spare ready to spin up at a moment's notice.

I am currently working on a Small Business Managed Services/BCP/DRP Offering that would provide all of the above AND Limited Managed IT Services for about $150/month.

Stay tuned!!! More to come in the next few weeks!!
